Community Support

The Central FL chapter has a long history of giving to our community and supporting the Aviation Soldier.

The Central FL Chapter has continued to support the University of Central Florida ROTC program. Support has included flags for the ROTC program to support military events, professional  association meetings, and local civic events without necessity to borrow a flag set. Additionally, we provided polo logo shirts for ROTC cadets to wear at supported events. The Central FL Chapter also provided AAAA memberships to ROTC senior cadets who have been selected for the aviation branch.

The chapter membership supports the USMC Toys for Tots program that positively affects the local community. The chapter supports both financially and with a gift collection effort during the December Monthly Social event.  Additional support also comes from local military industry partners and local businesses. The Chapter continues to proudly support the local Marine Corps Reserve unit that sponsored the program.  We also support Military Families during the Holidays with meals and gifts through the MWR offices several bases located throughout the Central Florida area.

In June, the AUSA hosts the annual Army Ball to help celebrate the Army's birthday. In continued support and close ties with the Sunshine Chapter of AUSA, every year many of our AAAA members attend the Army Ball demonstrating that Army Aviators cam "dress up, have a good time, and behave themselves."

Each year the Central FL Chapter continues to provide financial support to the AAAA Scholarship Fund with distributions. This funding has supported several scholarships awarded to family members of the chapter membership.  More information can be found on the National AAAA website if you are interested in applying for a scholarship.
